Elect Cris Basualdo
Ward 6 City Council

Knowlegeable  Compassionate  Committed

I am your voice.

Cris Basualdo is a tireless central Edmonton volunteer who is ready to bring her energy and more than 15 years of community service experience to the Edmonton City Council table.  Her focus, like yours, is on quality of life.

As an individual and as a representative for various organizations, Cris Basualdo has partnered with several area Community Leagues and other resident-led organizations to resolve crime, disorder, traffic, planning and development issues and raised concerns about the impact recent school closures will have on central Edmonton communities.

Cris has carried those messages from the community forward to various City of Edmonton council meetings and to Federal committees studying the impact of crime on communities.

She believes that strong, healthy central communities are necessary to creating a vibrant, desirable and walkable city core. In order to do this we need to create neighbourhoods near our downtown that are safe, family and senior-friendly, with community schools and other amenities to attract families back to our City's mature core neighbourhoods.

Cris Basualdo also shares your concerns about the effect of loss of schools on our ability to attract families to live in central Edmonton.

Your views about the issues and challenges facing central Edmonton are important. Join the conversation on Cris Basualdo’s Facebook page or send her an email with your thoughts on improving our downtown core neighbourhoods and business districts.
